Do you want to increase the use of big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence in your business processes? Do you want to optimise internal processes, capacity, your way of working or boost your team capabilities to deliver a product? Are you struggling to execute your AI strategy at the right speed, or just struggling with the execution? Or maybe you’ve brought in one-off consultants before and ended up with great ideas but no delivery. In any of these cases, you can count on an X-Force project team to bring clarity, strategy, and rapidly deliver valuable AI products. Xomnia’s experience on a vast range of projects and a diverse set of clients has provided the X-Force with a unique perspective.

What is X-Force?

The X-Force is a well-balanced team from Xomnia, experienced in developing and implementing value and creating AI solutions. Each team covers business consultancy, data science, and data engineering capabilities. These combined skills enable them to identify major business problems that have the potential to be transformed by big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Their focus is to rapidly move from ideation all the way to production. Within a matter of months, X-Force teams transform businesses with their perspective, technical expertise, and collaboration.

The X-Force team

Collaboration is at the heart of the X-Force team. It takes three unique disciplines to build relevant, technically precise and scalable solutions. Our X-Force teams include an analytics translator, data scientists and data engineers. This combination delivers business strategy, algorithmic expertise, and infrastructure know-how to your problem.

Analytics translator

The analytics translator is your main point of contact. They take a strategic view of your business needs and continuously ask why. The analytics translator will keep you up to date on project timelines, continuously involve the right stakeholders, and ensure that the solution we build will be maximally relevant to your business needs. Think of this role as part interpreter, part diplomat, part translator, making sure your needs and the technical solutions provided by our data scientists and engineers align. Our analytics translators have deep technical knowledge but lead with their business skills. Data scientists or data engineers might dive right into the technical solution. However, our analytics translator will challenge your assumptions to ensure that the solution we build for you is the right one for the job.

Xomnia's analytics translator provides your technical leads the freedom to focus entirely on the data solutions for your company.

Data Engineer

Our data engineers are product-focused; they write efficient, scalable code. They’ll partner with your in-house engineers to pull data from existing platforms for use in algorithmic modeling and ensure that exported data is available to larger data processes. Our data engineers are proactive and target the problem. Engineers take the lead in the production pipeline and pinpoint robust, scalable solutions.

The data engineer gets the right data in the right format and creates the end product while working in collaboration with the team.

Data Scientist

Xomnia data scientists are laser-focused on translating a perceived problem into a mathematical model that represents the problem and outputs a solution. Our X-Force data scientists are hands-on. They excel in math and statistics and stay up to date on cutting-edge tools for modeling problems. They prioritise refining models to align with reality.

I get to focus entirely on the technical. Translating a problem into mathematical models that represent the problem or solution for a company is what drives me.

Process

Internally our teams work with the Agile SCRUM methodology. Fundamentally this means that we work in 2 to 4 week sprints focusing specifically on adding value with every sprint. Our sprints are roughly guided by the CRISP-DM framework. We begin by focusing on business and data understanding, aiming to answer key questions such as: What does our client do? What are the major data challenges holding them back? How do they work? Where can we add value? What data is available and how can we access it? With this knowledge, we get to work. We first clean up the data. Then, we launch an iterative process of product development. This entails designing a minimal viable product (MVP) and returning to the business owner after each iteration to ensure that the product evolution is moving towards business goals. Over several sprints, we grow this initial MVP into a robust sustainable solution.

X-Factor

At Xomnia, we have data in our blood. Our data engineers and scientists want to push boundaries of the status quo and truly innovate. Expect our teams to go above and beyond the call of duty. We live on the cutting edge; we want to work on state-of-the-art solutions. Working with an X-Force team means absorbing this culture. We leave transformative solutions, but we also impart culture. Our consultancy teams have become product owners of major departments. We’ve seen entire offices adopt our work process. Our X-Force project teams aim for collaboration in the deepest sense of the word. We deliver more than a product; we deliver understanding, energy, trust, and growth.
