Xomnia privacy and security policy

Protecting personal data is an important matter for Xomnia BV. All of Xomnia’s web activities comply with the rules as stated in the European General Data Protection and Regulation from May 25th, 2018. This privacy policy governs how Xomnia BV treats information gathered in the course of your visit to its website.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service has no intention of collecting information about website visitors under the age of 16. Unless they have parental or guardian permission. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years of age. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent the collection of information about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us at info@xomnia.com and we will delete that information.

Purpose and basis for processing personal data

Xomnia processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure.
  • To call or email you, if necessary, in order to carry out our services. To deliver goods and services to you.
  • If you apply for a job through the website xomnia.com, you are requested to fill out a form requesting your contact information, resume, and a motivation letter.

Automated decision-making

Xomnia does not take decisions on the basis of automated processing operations on matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. This includes decisions made by computer programs or systems without human (e.g. an employee of Xomnia) involvement.

Personal data retention period

Xomnia does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. We apply a maximum retention period for recruitment data of 1 year.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Xomnia will not sell your data to third parties and will only provide them if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We enter into an agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Xomnia remains responsible for these processing operations.

Xomnia uses technical and functional cookies and analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and for your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and retain your preferred settings. They also enable us to optimise our website. You can unsubscribe from cookies by setting your Internet browser to no longer store cookies. Additionally, you can delete all information previously stored via your browser settings.

Viewing, adjusting or deleting data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing, to object to the processing of your personal data by Xomnia, and you have the right to data transfer. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or  another organisation you have chosen. You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@xomnia.com. To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, we ask that you redact your sensitive information in order to protect your privacy. This would include your passport number and machine readable zone (located at the bottom of the passport) or your citizen number on a government issued ID.

We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

Xomnia takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
